ICD Evaluation Services

The International Consultants of Delaware, Inc. (ICD), is a credentialing agency evaluating international educational documents and providing their U.S. equivalents. These equivalents are used to assist individuals in obtaining additional education, employment and immigration visas, as well as licensing and certification for healthcare and business professionals.

As a charter member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), ICD utilizes only the most up-to-date data available from sources such as the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), Association of International Educators (NAFSA), Institute of International Education (IIE), and the American-Mideast Educational and Training Services (AMIDEAST). These data sources are continually being monitored and updated by current overseas and U.S. educators, American embassies, and referenced in ICD's own country databanks. Credentials Evaluation Services
ICD provides statements analyzing the education and licensure you earned outside the United States--presented in terms of U.S. comparability. ICD Credentials Evaluation Reports can be used for education, immigration, licensure, certification, employment or other purposes. A request for evaluation my be submitted by an individual, company, government agency or school on behalf of any employee or student. ICD provides several types of reporting from which to choose.


General Evaluations

General Statement Evaluation
The purpose of this evaluation is to support an immigration application by providing a reliable report of a client's educational equivalence. They can also be used when applying for employment, further education, certification and licensure.

Immigration lawyers interested in the evaluation of an internationally-educated professional's credentials typically use the General Statement Evaluation. The General Statement Evaluation contains:

  • Time period(s) of study;
  • Institution(s) attended;
  • All degrees/diplomas/certificates earned; and
  • U.S. equivalent of the foreign education credentials.

Course-by-Course Evaluation
The Course-by-Course Evaluation is utilized when applying for employment, further education, certification and licensure to support an immigration application. The evaluation begins with all of the services that the General Statement Evaluation provides, and includes a breakdown of all courses, credits and grades. The Course-by-Course Evaluation contains:

  • General Statement Evaluation; plus
  • Listing of all courses, credits and grades.

In addition, the Course-by-Course Evaluation offers two further services for an additional fee. The Grade Point Average Service provides an average of the marks obtained from the international credentials using a U.S. grading system conversion. The Summary Breakdown Service provides a breakdown listing of four different types of required science courses: biological sciences, chemistry, mathematics and physical sciences.


Physical Therapy Evaluation

Physical Therapy Credentials Evaluation
This evaluation is used for applying for state board licensure in the United States.
The Physical Therapy Credentials Evaluation contains:

  • Time period(s) of study;
  • Institution(s) attended;
  • All degrees/diplomas/certificates earned;
  • U.S. equivalent of the international educational credentials;
  • Whether or not one is licensed to practice as a physical therapist in the country of education;
  • Total educational credits awarded;
  • Source of the educational credentials (transcripts/diplomas/degrees/certificates) submitted directly to ICD; and
  • State board form listing categories/courses/credits for specific state boards of physical therapy.

Certified Public Accountant Evaluations

Certified Public Accountant Credentials Evaluations
These evaluations are used for applying for state board licensure as a certified public accountant in the United States, for further education and for membership to the American CPA Association. There are three types of reports from which to choose.

General Statement Evaluation Report
This first level report details:

  • Time period(s) of study;
  • Institution(s) attended;
  • All degrees/diplomas/certificates earned; and
  • U.S. equivalent of the international educational credentials.

Course-by-Course Evaluation Report
This report begins with all of the services that the General Statement Evaluation provides. In addition, it includes a detailed breakdown of all courses, credits and grades, identifying each foreign educational credential and its U.S. educational equivalent and providing the U.S. credit equivalents for each subject studied. The Course-by-Course Evaluation contains:

  • General Statement Evaluation;
  • Listing of all courses, credits and grades, identifying each foriegn educational credential and its U.S. educational equivalent; and
  • U.S. credit equivalents for each subject studied.

CPA Professional Evaluation Report
This report begins with all of the services that the General Statement Evaluation provides. In addition, it includes a course category breakdown within the applicant's foreign CPA curriculum (i.e., general education, mathematics and professional education), and a declarative statement clearly indicating our opinion as to the comparability of the individual applicant's educational qualifications, as they relate to the specific requirements to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination, in the state to which the applicant applied. The CPA Professional Evaluation contains:

  • General Statement Evaluation;
  • Course category breakdown within the applicant's foreign CPA curriculum; and
  • Declarative statement.

In addition, a Course-by-Course Evaluation can be added to the CPA Professional Evaluation for an additional fee. This service includes a detailed breakdown of all courses, credits and grades (not just those within the applicant's CPA curriculum), identifying each foreign educational credential and its U.S. educational equivalent and providing the U.S. credit equivalents for each subject studied.

ICD's various credentials evaluation services will benefit candidates applying for employment, further education, certification or licensure in the U.S., or to support an immigration application to the U.S.
